A native Las Vegan, Ashley Glenn (Smith) is currently attending the University of Nevada, Las Vegas pursuing degrees in Journalism & Media Studies as well as Gender & Sexuality. An intern for Informer Media Group, Ashley covers entertainment, community events, and fandom beats, publishing online articles for Las Vegas, San Francisco, San Diego and Los Angeles markets.

Ashley’s passion for journalism is matched only by her strong work ethic. Ashley maintains multiple internships while building up a variety of freelance work, all while running her own podcasting hub (Black Moor Productions) and blog (Ashley’s Anime).

A dedicated member of the Las Vegas community, Ashley is looking forward to a future in academia and journalism, utilizing both of her degrees to educate and enlighten her community while advancing her craft, using intersectional theory to help create a more humane and ethical journalism community.
